Welcome to one of QUB's newest societies - the United Democrats!
United Democrats has been formed by a group of undergraduate students who are interested and engaged in political debate, thought and research.
The society aims to provide...
-opportunities to raise and present ideas and policies which can help improve Northern Ireland politically, economically and socially in the future.
-regular research and polling among members and other students on their political opinions, attitudes and intentions to vote in elections or referenda.
-opportunities to present future policy ideas and government designs that may help us understand our political climate.
-a “manifesto” to highlight our agreed outcomes and policies which we believe can build a better Northern Ireland in the future (subject to regular votes and debate among society members).
-a student-led “think tank” with the aim of achieving better policies and government in Northern Ireland.
-a bit of fun, better understanding and various social events through the year.
If you wish to investigate your political views further, give the QUB United Democrats a try!
Currently, we have already elected the following members of our Executive Committee...
President - Edward Ferrin.
Secretary - Reuben Newell.
Treasurer - Adam McCleave.
