My name is Julia and I am running for Undergraduate School Representative for the School of Natural and Built Environment. I'm really passionate about making a change and making an impact. I am currently the president of the QUB GeogSoc and an Undergraduate Course Representative for Geography. I think that the experience I have gained within both of these posts will definitely be of an advantage in this position. An issue that is close to my heart is mental health, I think that no student should ever struggle in silence and I would love to make mental health support more accessible for students within my school. Further, from experience, I know it is hard for some students to adjust to the change between secondary school and university. I would love to continue (as i've been doing in the society) creating advice posts or sessions for my peers, and possibly introduce more social opportunities for students to get to know each other and build important communication skills as well as friendships!
