Hi, I am a Stage 2 Mechanical Engineering Student and the EPS Faculty Representative in the QUBSU 2022 Elections I am running for the position of SU President and I need your support to win so that I can improve the overall university experience of all the students.
- I will put the Mental Health of Students in front and always prioritise it.
- I will strongly advocate for a course based assessment and project-based learning for a better understanding of topics and to reduce final exam stress on students.
- I will focus on implementing inter-disciplinary education across all university faculties.
- I will promote a Start-Up culture and help students easily get funding to implement their ideas.
- I will push the idea to develop an online recorded lecture library accessible to all students who wish to study and gain knowledge of different disciplines.
- I will ensure all the students receive adequate help and assistance to apply for placements, graduate jobs and determine career path.
- I will be taking measures to stop sexual harassment by organising awareness talks and inviting guest speakers.
- I will campaign for Free Education and will ensure that the university reduces the financial burden on students.
- I will make sure that the university works to build new student residences and housing to cope with the demand.
- I will ensure the university ties up with residential complexes around the campus to provide housing to students.
- I will work to reduce the Student Housing Prices and introduce catered options for the students.
