Who Am I?
My name is Julien Kolta and I am a first year medical student. I am from Egypt and I have lived in the UAE for the past 15 years. I am passionate, dedicated and driven to enhance student life at Queen’s to the best that it can be.
Experience
- Was the Head Girl of my School where I implemented an innovative more efficient student council structure
- I am a Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences International Student Ambassador
- Presented with the award of outstanding commitment to school life
- Served as a student ambassador for 3 years at my school
My Aspirations
- Advocate for more face to face teaching
- Initiate more student feedback and input on schedules/timetables
- Advocate for reading week for Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences students
- Advocate for more reliable internet in student accommodation
- Initiate feedback on what events helped/could have helped students settle in better to further enrich our freshers welcome programme
- Set up a programme to help students with all their paperwork and required registrations (GP, Police, etc.) upon arrival
