Embrace Diversity ,Create Equality.

Embrace Diversity ,Create Equality.

“Our purpose is to make our university a better place ,let’s be the change we want to see”.

Hi my name is Sanyukta Pallavi and I am a postgraduate student at the department of Chemical Engineering pursuing Master’s in Pharmaceutical Analysis .

I am running for the position of Student Officer Equality and Diversity because I feel universities are not supposed to be the gateways for the oppression of others, they are there to facilitate the healthy flow of ideas, opinions and knowledge.

I have been a active member of the (Umeed- Ray of hope) in my home country, India. I have experience teaching the unprivileged and financially challenged children, organizing educational enrichment trips and raising funds for their continuous education.

My empathic, unbiased and accepting attitude makes me an ideal candidate for the position.

No tolerance and No retaliation :

I want to create a digital portal that can take a count of analytics of various grievances students face and what measures taken to rectify those .

Also, keeping a record of such data will help dealing such issues better .Also it is highly important to keep the student's identity anonymous about their complaint as it will give them sense of satisfaction and mental peace that their voice is being heard without the fear of being retaliated.

I believe students are here to study and flourish their careers and definitely not to indulge in confrontation .

Let’s not tolerate the intolerance, let me be your voice.

Diversity :

Diversity is all about embracing one other’s uniqueness.

I want to create a common platform where students across the worldwide can share the specific way in which certain festivals and traditions being celebrated in their country.

I am from India and in my country ‘Holi’( Festival of Colours) is celebrated with wholesomeness and enthusiasm and I want to spread this energy with my friends from different continents as well.

I welcome all who want to share their tradition, festivals and joy with us.

Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in contact with me to ask me any questions about my ideas by contacting me at sanyuktapallavi01@qub.ac.uk

“Building a diverse and inclusive organization can be a challenge . Let’s pledge the acceptance as it will be a leading way to all the positive changes”.
