It has lots of info which will help you create a manifesto, understand how to campaign and keep you within the rules.

Step 2
Do your homework
Get a real understanding of what the job involves. Knowledge is power:

• Have a read of The Roles and Why Stand? sections
• Look at the Student Voice section of out website to find out how it all works
• Talk to your current Student Officers, Part-Time Student Officers and Students’ Union staff members
• Find out what the Student Officers have done in the past and think about how you can do even better
• Look at the Election Timeline to know all the key dates deadlines
• Book in a one-to-one Candidate Clinic with our Student Voice staff team to find out more and help plan your election campaign

Step 3
Nominate yourself and submit your documents
Submit all of the below documents to the Student Voice Team (on behalf of the Returning Officer) by Wed 5 Feb, 5pm. You can submit everything online.

You submit your nomination by completing the offical Nomination Form and Equal Monitoring Form online. Read through our nomination checklist to make sure that you have everything prepared.

You then submit all of your publicity materials for print to us (see the Printed Materials info and Candidate Info Pack and Rules for details). You can submit your publicity materials:

• Online: by sending them using the Queen's DropBox service to studentvoice@qub.ac.uk
• In Person: by submitting them on a USB key to the Student Voice team (Level 2, SU Elmwood) by the deadline. You must email the Student Voice team to schedule this submission.

You must submit all of your printed materials - both online or in person - together. Documentation won't be accepted on an 'item by item' basis.

Your nomination will only be complete when all documentation is submitted and verified.

Do not submit your election materials directly via email.
