Stand for Election - Nomination Checklist
Getting your nomination submitted properly is one of the most important things to do when running for election. It can take some time to get everything together and submit everything correctly.
If you are thinking of standing for election to a post, you should start on your nomination immediately. You can always withdraw your nomination before the deadline if you change your mind.
We have put together this checklist guide to help you get everything submitted on time, before the deadline of Wed 5 Feb, 5pm.
Full-Time Student Officer Roles
Completing your nomination for a Full-Time role can take a few hours, if you include submitting your manifesto, preparing your content for the ballot paper and organising your printed materials, including your posters and flyers.
- You should not wait until the very end before starting the submission process. In the past, we have refused submissions received even one minute after the deadline.
- Don’t be the person who loses out because they weren’t prepared!
- Don’t let your submission fail because of dodgy wireless, a broken USB key, or because you don’t have the necessary information already collected.
