MY MANIFESTO
As your Postgraduate Taught School Representative, my goal is simple: to listen to you, represent your concerns, and work with the School to improve the postgraduate student experience.
1. 🗣️ YOUR VOICE, HEARD
I will create an open channel where students can easily share their concerns, suggestions, and experiences.
- Listen to students across different postgraduate programmes.
- Raise common concerns with the appropriate School representatives.
- Keep students informed about issues affecting them.
2. 📚 BETTER ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
I will advocate for a learning environment that supports postgraduate students.
- Raise concerns about teaching, assessments, workload, and timetables.
- Encourage clear communication about coursework and academic expectations.
- Support constructive feedback between students and the School.
3. 🤝 INCLUSION & COMMUNITY
Postgraduate students come from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. Everyone should feel welcome.
- Encourage stronger interaction between postgraduate programmes.
- Support activities that help students connect and build friendships.
- Promote an inclusive and respectful QBS community.
4. 💼 CAREER & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
A postgraduate degree should prepare us for life beyond university.
- Encourage more career-focused events and opportunities.
- Support networking between students, alumni, and professionals.
- Promote awareness of internships, placements, careers services, and professional development opportunities.
5. 🧠 STUDENT WELLBEING
Postgraduate life can be demanding. Student wellbeing matters.
- Help raise awareness of available university support services.
- Encourage conversations around academic pressure and student wellbeing.
- Make sure student concerns are communicated respectfully and constructively.
6. 📢 TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY
Representation should not end after the election.
I will provide regular updates on:
- Issues raised by students.
- Feedback received from the School.
- Progress on matters brought forward.
- Opportunities and important information for postgraduate students.
