๐ฌ 1. Better Academic Support
- Raise common academic concerns directly with the School.
- Advocate for clear guidance around assessments, coursework and deadlines.
- Encourage accessible support for students from different academic backgrounds.
๐ข 2. Clear & Effective Communication
- Make sure important School updates reach students clearly and on time.
- Create a stronger connection between students, lecturers and the Students’ Union.
- Keep students informed about changes that affect their studies.
๐งช 3. Better Postgraduate Experience
- Listen to feedback about laboratories, teaching, facilities and learning resources.
- Highlight issues affecting the day-to-day postgraduate experience.
- Push for practical solutions rather than simply raising concerns.

- Encourage more opportunities for postgraduate students to meet, network and share experiences.
- Support academic and social activities that bring students across different programmes together.
- Help create an inclusive environment where every student feels welcome.

- Share relevant opportunities with students whenever possible.
- Support stronger links between postgraduate study and future career development.
๐ฃ๏ธ 6. A Representative Who Listens
I will be approachable and open to feedback. Whether it is a small issue affecting your course or a wider concern across SCHEM, I will listen, raise it and follow up.
I won’t promise everything can change overnight but I will promise to make sure your concerns are heard and taken seriously.
