Somewhere deep down, there's a voice.
A voice not too loud yet needed to be heard.
You are not alone and BAME can make a difference.
So let me be your voice, and let's get them heard!
BAME! BAME! BAME!
My aims:
Create a forum for BAME students to raise their concerns about their personal wellbeing and university experience in hoping to promote equality of opportunity, good racial relations, and reduce discrimination. Also, I am open to hear ideas, resolve issues and speak on behalf of students.
Organize workshops by bringing in BAME professionals from diverse walks of life to share their professional insights to empower students to step out of their comfort zone!
Run cultural events such as Black History Month and Asian History Month to make BAME students feel involved and to let different cultures appreciate each other in hopes to increase togetherness and connections between different races.
Work side by side with the SU to resolve any BAME student issues that need to be on a grand scale or addressed by the University. Raise mental health awareness and get more BAME-led events to promote the inclusion of BAME students.
All BAME students deserve to have a STRONG voice and should be heard in every aspect of uni life from academics to clubs and societies. I'm ready to give my 100% to represent all BAME students to the best of my efforts. I believe we can all be the face of change and be the next huge movement! Cheers!
