Queen's University Belfast Hong Kong Society (QUBHKS) aims to encourage Hong Kong students to reach their full potential while studying at Queen's University and provide a smooth and hassle-free transition for students from Hong Kong into university life in Belfast. We are the leading student society for Hong Kong students in the Island of Ireland. Having strong ties with Hong Kong Student Societies from both most UK and Irish University, our role at the university is to represent, support and unite Hong Kong students at QUB.
Hong Kong Society plays an important role to provide a platform for our community to gather and share our happiness and burdens. We provide peers, emotional, academic and careers support to our members by holding regular gatherings and focus groups. We help new students to adapt to their life in the UK by organising an orientation event in Hong Kong before they all depart to Belfast. We take care of the needs of Hong Kong students on campus, acting as an umbrella organisation to protect and represent the rights of our community at the university. We welcome everyone who are from Hong Kong or Macau, as well as people who are interested in knowing more about our unique culture. We also aim to develop a strong alumni network around the world to provide strong support for our students when they graduate from QUB.
We can only provide support to our registered member. We do not provide advice on UCAS application, UK visa and immigration advice to prospective students. You can get professional visa advice by emailing iss@qub.ac.uk. If you would like to speak a current student about a specific programme, please contact the official student ambassador at international@qub.ac.uk.
