Welcome to the Hong Kong Society! We’re a group of HK students (and friends!) here at Queen’s who love sharing our culture, food, and student life in Belfast. From hotpot nights, mahjong sessions, and HK movie nights to celebrating festivals like Mid-Autumn and Lunar New Year — we bring a real HK vibe to campus.
Our society is all about making connections, supporting each other through uni life, and keeping that Hong Kong spirit alive even while studying abroad. Whether you’re missing cha chaan teng breakfasts or just want to meet friendly faces who speak Cantonese, you’ll fit right in.
This year, we will be starting our brand new section of the society as well! Mahjong is a big part of our lives as Hong Kong/Chinese community. It brings everyone together, brings laughter and thrill while spending tine with our closets. We are holding Mahjong classes this year! Please come and join us and learn more about our culture!
