Run by international students for international students, we understand it is common for International students to feel isolated and alone in a new country without a community. The Queen’s University Belfast International Engineering Society (QUBIES) was established to support and encourage a more diverse engineering cohort at Queen’s University Belfast.

Industry Links We’re the only society in Northern Ireland affiliated with the Women in Engineering Society (WES) and Engineers Ireland. This allows members to attend special industry events for your field of study and create networks with some of the U.K. top firms.

Every year, Student Leaders are elected to represent the 25,000 students at Queen’s and to lead the Union. There are 34 roles available: 6 Full-Time Student Officers; 3 Undergraduate Faculty Representatives; 10 Student Association Chairpersons; and 15 Undergraduate School Representatives.
