Bem-vindos! ¡Bienvenidos! Learn what the Spanish and Portuguese society is about, meet our committee, and get involved!
About Us
As a student led languages' society, our aim is to share our passion for Spanish and Portuguese and to bring students together by celebrating Hispanic and Lusophone cultures around the world.
We’re an all-inclusive society that encourages members from all backgrounds. Many first year students join our society and find it a great way to meet new people with similar interests and passions. However, you don’t even need to study Spanish or Portuguese to be a member, just an open mind and a love for raggaeton music ;)
Every year we hold a variety of events, from our Intercambios and food-tasting nights to Carnaval and the Modern Languages Formal. We’ll also keep you up to date on any related events taking place on campus, such as film nights at the Queen’s Film Theatre.
We’re very proud of our community and aim to work with local businesses that promote Hispanic and Lusophone cultures to further enrich your time here at Queen’s and in Belfast.
