Vote Róisín don’t think about what could’ve been!

Hi everyone!

My name is Róisín Costelloe. I’m a third year law with politics student here at Queens. I’d love for you to vote me as a AHSS Student representative on the Students’ Union Council.

Since I was young I’ve always been an advocate for getting students voices heard from being on the Donegal Youth Council to my school student council. I believe that everyone is entitled to their rights and that injustice should not be accepted.

As someone studying politics, I’m quite up to date on current affairs and understand the importance of democracy and diplomacy. This can aid with choosing what stance the SU should take on issues and what issues the SU should work on.

I want an SU that reflects positively on all the students that it represents. I also believe that the SU should continue its fight on lecture recordings as while covid is not as rampant, people are still catching it amongst other illnesses which are preventing them from attending their lectures in person. Students should not be punished for things outside their control as they are potentially missing very important lectures. Not everyone is mates with people in their course meaning some people have no one to send them notes if they miss class.

Therefore you should elect me as an AHSS Students representative as I pledge not to miss a meeting and will fight for lecture recordings or at least access to last years recordings along with any other issues you feel need addressed by the SU.

I hate seeing people struggle and will genuinely fight for changes that will impact students lives. All AHSS students will be able to contact me on my instagram with things they’d like brought up at meetings. I want to be part of helping amplify an inclusive and visible student voice.

Thank you :)
