Hello,
My name is Omkar More and I am an International student studying an MSc in Management. I am standing to be elected as the Student Union Councillor (International Student) because I would like to ensure that the views of all international students from all faculties and years are represented. As an experienced student, I believe I have an impartial view to the matters and as a result will be able to improve the compatibility of the university with you – the student body.
As a representative for the International Students, I would aim to ensure that:
- Anyone can make their voice heard and express their opinion on the running of the school, regardless of faculty, year or any other factor.
- The Student Body (you!) is kept informed of the decisions made by the student council.
- Decisions made by the council are to the benefit of all undergraduates and postgraduates.
In order to deliver upon these aims I will use my previous experience as Joint General Secretary at SM Shetty College and a member of the student council during my high school years. I will also endeavour to give you opportunities to inform me of what I can do to improve your experience. I would be honoured to represent you during the coming year and to be given the opportunity to make a positive impact on your university experience.
