Empowering AI in Education and Uniting Disciplines for Innovation
AI Innovation in Education: With AI technologies like ChatGPT and Copilot transforming education, I advocate for their responsible use to improve our learning. I aim to integrate these tools to enrich our studies, maintain our lead in innovation, and ensure academic integrity.
Boosting Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Given the growing need for interdisciplinary skills, I intend to strengthen our faculty's interdisciplinary focus. This includes organizing joint events, promoting society involvement, and encouraging extracurricular activities to build a knowledge-rich culture that spurs innovation and creativity across fields.
Experienced Leadership for Continuity: Drawing on my 2 years of experience as an Electrical and Electronic Engineering course rep and Vice Chair of the IEEE QUB student branch, I plan on improving student engagement via closing the feedback loop i.e. better staff involvement, use of announcements showcasing student feedback, etc.
Futuristic and Inclusive Vision: My goal is to make the EPS faculty a hub of inclusivity, ensuring that every voice is heard and amplified. I plan to use open dialogues to turn our discussions into effective tools for positive change, leading to concrete actions.
