Hello, and welcome to the QUB Aerospace Society!
We are a student-led group dedicated to advancing space engineering at QUB. We provide opportunities for students to get involved in real-world projects, from designing and building rockets to competing in national and international competitions. Our society also hosts industry talks, workshops, and networking events, helping members gain valuable skills and insights into the space industry.
What will you get up to?
We’re all about taking on exciting projects and competitions. Our members have had the chance to work on real-world engineering challenges and develop practical skills.
We’ve competed in the Mach-24 Competition, where we designed and launched our CanSat rocket to an altitude of 1300m, and we won the UKSEDS Olympus Rover Competition, building a planetary rover to complete tasks in simulated Martian conditions. We also participated in the Race2Space Challenge, where we successfully developed Northern Ireland’s first hybrid rocket engine.
This year, we aim to continue our success and build on it. We’re excited to take on new challenges and work on even more ambitious projects throughout the year.
