BEGINNER SQUAD

Each year we welcome a new intake of students with no prior rowing experience needed to try rowing, training sessions take place between the Queens Sport Boathouse(29 Lockview Road) and the Queens PEC. Beginners will learn the basics of rowing or coxing and by racing season after Christmas they will then compete agaisnt other UK and Irish universities. 

Beginners will start with 2 weeks of taster sessions after which a 6 week Learn to Row course takes place,

FRESHERS FAIR Wednesday 19th September Stall 39 and 40

Come Along to our beginner squad meeting at 5:30pm on the 19th September in the Peter Frogatt Centre PFC/02/018

We will also have many social opportunities coming up, firstly on the 19th September we have a Pub Quiz in The Botanic Inn at 7pm

SENIOR SQUAD

We have a senior squad meeting at 4:30pm on the 19th September in the Peter Frogatt Centre PFC/02/018 

We are keen to recruit any students with previous rowing or coxing experience to join current QUBBC rowers on the senior/intermediate squad. Training Schedule:

               Monday    Tuesday    Wednesday    Thursday    Friday    Saturday

6:30am   Water        Ergs          Water             Ergs           Water      Water

10:30am                                    Water

5/6pm     Weights    Circuits      Weights                            Weights     
 

Water sessions take place at the Queens sport boathouse and ergometer and weights take place at the Queens PEC.

During the year we travel for many competitions such as BUCS Head, Newcastle, BUCS Regatta, Nottingham, Henley Womens Regatta, Irish Uni Champs, London Met Regatta and Irish Championships, as well as a 1 week Training Camp in Banyoles during Easter Holidays.

Our Winter Dinner will take place in November in the Great Hall, all members and Alumni welcome.

Whether you would like to join us to row competitively or recreationally, we would strongly encourage anyone with experience or not to come down and row with us.

We have a variety of scholarship options available through Queens Performance sport website - rowing-academy,
