About

The Indonesia Student Society is established as a social, cultural, and educational platform for Indonesian students in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Based on statistics, myriad Indonesian students choose Queen’s University of Belfast to pursue their studies for Undergraduate, Master’s, and Postgraduate (PhD) programs in various majors. Our existence aims to act as a second home and family for them, creating a home-away-from-home environment with strong Indonesian values. We also strive to identify potential individuals to help run various programs in Belfast.

The establishment of our society serves as a perfect medium for representing Queen’s University by promoting it and addressing inquiries from Indonesian citizens. The committee is also pleased to collaborate with other clubs and societies for joint events to further extend the university’s reputation among the Indonesian community.

Indonesia Student Society also strengthens connections with both the Government of Indonesia and Queen’s International Office. In the long term, our society aims to gather alumni data in Indonesia as the organization continues to grow and improve. We already host an annual event called ArtIndo, the largest Indonesian cultural show in Northern Ireland, and now, we have introduced another annual sporting event, the Belfast International Games, bringing students together through sports and fostering international camaraderie.
