Shalom! Belfast JSoc is a small student formed and student led society; based at Queen’s University Belfast, but open to students from all universities in the North. Through numerous events and activities, we are the social space on campus, and the communitiy for Jewish students who have moved to Belfast for their studies.
We are entirely student run, and do not have a chaplaincy based at the university. The synagogue is based in North Belfast: https://www.belfastjewishcommunity.org.uk
Our society is home to students from the UK and Ireland, and from our wider global family too. We believe that there isn't one way to be Jewish and are inclusive of all Jewish people - no matter your denomination, whether or not you're secular, if you're new to exploring your Jewish identity and if you're a Jew of colour or are LGBT.
