The Society aims to promote the skills of debate and public speaking throughout the University and beyond. The Literific hosts weekly debates throughout the year on a variety of topics. Along with debates we host LitTalks and Great Debates with speakers from across politics, pop culture, and more. We have hosted speakers like Tereasa May, Sam McBride, Diona Doherty, and more. Once the debates are over, the fun doesn't stop. We have our weekly socials in Laverys where the debate conintues!
Please find below one of our debates, to give you an idea what we do every week:
We're a very passionate society, but we have a lot of craic too. Come and see what we're about!
If you want to attend any of our events, do check out our Instagram where you'll be the first to know about all things Literific! You don't need to be a member to attend our debates, so feel free to rock up on Thursdays!
