If you love to sing, dance act, or even just listen to musicals, Queen's Musical Theatre Society is the place for you!

QMTS is a student-run musical theatre society which produces several performances of various scales throughout the academic year, as well as running social events for members. It is a safe, fun, and inclusive space which welcomes performers of all ages (18+) and abilities, including those who do not study at QUB. No audition is required for membership!

QMTS is filled with opportunities for members to perform throughout the academic year and we pride ourselves on being an inclusive society. For all productions we hold open auditions and all of these auditions are publicised on our Instagram page (so follow us!!). There also several opportunities to apply for production team roles, including: Director, Assistant-Director, Choregrapher, Musical Director, Stage Manager and Costume Manager. 

We host many performances throughout the year and last year this included our Winter and Summer Mini Musicals, our Full-Scale Spring Production, Spring Showcase and participation in the All-Ireland Musical Theatre Intervarsities. 

Our past Full-Scale Musical productions have included:

• 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Every year we perform at the All-Ireland Musical Theatre Intervarsities, this year known as Féile Ardáin. This is a competition where Musical Theatre Societies from universities across Ireland compete with a 20-minute adaptation of popular musicals to win a variety of awards. As a society we have been successful in this competition and have won multiple awards including 'Best Visuals' in 2024 with 'Rock of Ages' and 'Best Musical Direction' in 2023 with 'Moulin Rouge'. Our past Inters performances have included adaptations of:

• Little Shop of Horrors
