About Paddlesports 2026/27

Our club has manny passionate members at all levels. We specialise in whitewater, long distance and canoe polo. The session times are as follows:

Wednesday from 1445-1400, PEC Pool

Friday from 1945-2130, PEC Pool

Weekend Whitewater Sessions, Shaws Bridge or other nearby rivers (weather dependent)

All events start and finish at the PEC store unless otherwise stated or prior arrangements are made.

Pool sessions are either general skills practice or polo practice. Check the Linktree for session specifics.

Paddlesports can be as easy or extreme as you want!

In the pool we focus on basic skills and then progress onto learning to roll and canoe polo drills. Canoe polo is a fast paced sport that involves high speed tackles and lots of teamwork. As you progress and learn the basics, we run whitewater trips every few weeks to Shaws Bridge and bigger rivers further away. Adrenaline junkies love it as you get to test your combat rolls and get a taste for moving water. This year we are organising trips and competitions to:

Everybody is welcome to join, complete beginners or experienced paddlers!

Membership Fees for the 2024-25 Academic year are as follows:

• Fresher Student: £25*
• Standard Student: £40
• Associate (Non-student): £50*

Additionally, CANI insurance is £10.

We're all broke students too so if you're unsure about paying membership just yet, or if you have any questions, don't be afraid to hit us up via email or message us on instagram and we can have a chat! Freshers can attend their first three sessions free of charge! 

*Fresher student = Any student in their first year at the club

Associate = Non student
