The QUB Philosophy Society is run by students and is open to anyone and everyone with an interest in (or would like to learn more about) philosophy and life's biggest questions. We’re an inclusive group, who are open to anyone at any stage in their philosophical journey - whether you're new to it all or a full-time Plato.
We meet every Tuesday, 7-9pm in One Elmwood, to socialise, philosophise, and harness a feeling of community for philosophy lovers at Queen’s.
Some of the events we hold include:
Philosophy and Pints at a local bar (usually the Parlour) to catch up, have a drink (or two) and chat about philosophy - the event where answers really can be found at the bottom of a glass!
Seminars, where we host guest speakers from near and far to talk about their work and expertise in the field of philosophy (with a Q&A at the end).
The HAPP Formals.
Pizza Nights.
Quiz Nights.
Educational trips.
If you have an idea for a society event, please let us know!
