Queen’s International Student Society (QISS) is a society that welcomes all students to join. We organise numerous events throughout the year where international students (local students are welcome to join too!) can come together to make new friends, experience different cultures and have fun!
Queen’s has over 2000 international students from over 70 different countries. Qulture Shock, an annual cultural extravaganza organised by our society and also the largest student-led cultural showcase in Queen’s, provides these students with an opportunity to share and celebrate the culture of the international student body. Our membership is open to all students in QUB! Just £5 for the membership to enjoy various benefits such as cheaper prices to our paid events and discounts across many cafes, restaurants and shops around Belfast! Not good enough? This membership lasts for the entire duration of your course in QUB, that means you will only have to pay once, isn't that great? :)

Every year, Student Leaders are elected to represent the 25,000 students at Queen’s and to lead the Union. There are 34 roles available: 6 Full-Time Student Officers; 3 Undergraduate Faculty Representatives; 10 Student Association Chairpersons; and 15 Undergraduate School Representatives.
