Radiology is a diverse and expanding field in medicine, utilising a range of imaging techniques to view the human body. From X-rays, CT scanning, MRI and ultrasound imaging, radiology plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of many pathologies across all specilaties.
Furthermore, the newly expanding field of interventional radiology allows doctors to perform minimally-invasive image guided procedures in a range of areas, such as coiling brain aneurysms to embolising the uterine artery to shrink fibroids.
