The aim of the Robotics Society is to give students the chance to learn about this rapidly-growing field, build team-working relationships, and have fun doing it.

As an industry that many students from Queen's may go on to work in upon graduation, we provide an opportunity to learn more about the theory, while allowing all members to collaborate, come up with ideas, solve problems and be fully creative. We'll also be forming a team to join a national competition!

What's On This Year

We're building up the events side this year, with plenty of ways to get hands-on no matter your experience level:

• Build/Fight Nights – bring your creations together (or apart) monthly in friendly head-to-head builds
• Trash Robot Events – build a robot from scrap and spare parts, no fancy kit required
• Hardware Workshops – get stuck into the practical side of robotics with guided sessions 
• Social Events – because it's not all soldering irons and code

Whether you've never touched a robot before or you're already fully delved into a personal project, these events are designed to be beginner-friendly and welcoming to everyone.

Unibots UK

We're putting together a team (or teams!) to compete in Unibots this year. If you're interested in getting involved, keep an eye on our socials or shoot us a message!

Membership is open to everyone, including students and non-students, and we provide a range of opportunities to get involved in unique workshops such as coding workshops or 3D CAD workshops!
