Whether you're yet to venture into the realms of horror or are a veteran of the genre, we'd love to have you as part of Scream Queens!The society was founded with the purpose of creating a social hub to find like-minded horror nerds and a space to enjoy horror media in all its forms. We were honoured to win best new society during the SU awards in 2025.Our committee cover a variety of roles to cater to all the different types of horror. Expect events centred on film & TV, podcasts, TTRPGs, video games, arts & crafts, music and cosplay. If you're a little horror squeamish, our art club might be for you!Our regular events for 2026-27 are as follows. Check our Instagram or Discord for event details, locations and any changes to timing.- Craft club: Mondays 5pm - 8pm (every week)- Film screenings: Thursdays 6pm - 9pm (twice a month, film announced in the discord)
- Podcasts and patches: Wednesday 5-8pm (once a month, come make patches for your clothing and listen to horror podcasts!)
- Game night: Wednesday 5-8pm (twice a month, can be online in the discord or in person - videogame, TTRPG and board games included)- Monthly one-off events: in the past these have included a pub quiz, karaoke, among us night and a formalLast year, our screenings included Nosferatu, Nerdy Prudes Must Die, a series of podcasts including The Magnus Archives and Welcome to Nightvale and a video essay week. We even had exclusive access to the QFT for a special screening of The Thing. Come along to our sessions for some frights, some fear, but most importantly, some fun!
