The Senior Status Law Society is an organization specifically created for students in the Senior Status Law program. The society was created to maximize student’s two years at QUB in both an education and social way. It provides support and guidance for students across the program. This program brings together a majority of students from Canada but also includes Northern Irish students as well. As the Senior Status Program is a small cohort, the society aims to bring a sense of community to those far from home and hosts social events to promote socialization for group cohesiveness.
We provide an exciting social and professional network for Sr. Status members, providing them with social events, educational events, and networking events where members have the opportunity to meet other current students, alumni and industry professionals. We use resources both in Canada and in Northern Ireland to facilitate success and connections once graduating! We hope to assist other members with academic guidance as mentors and a support system. We want this experience to be fun, beneficial and rewarding. Members have the opportunity to suggest events and become a part of the democratic process of the committee.
We aim to provide guidance on whatever your future career goals are once graduating. Whether that be in Canada or Northern Ireland. We provide insight on NCA exams for Canadian members, as well as insight on IPLS, the route for Solicitors and Barristers across Northern Ireland and England and Wales. We can also provide insight on members wishing to continue their studies through an LLM.
We want to help you achieve an amazing experience at QUB!
