Hi there, we are the Teddy Bear Hospital! We're a student-led society aiming to reduce any fears children have about healthcare settings. We do this by visiting primary schools around NI in groups of 6-8 volunteers for about an hour each week. There, we do some interactive learning about how to stay healthy, including healthy eating, exercise and mental wellbeing, and then we learn about our bodies, the organs and bones, and how they work. We then let the children be the doctors! They bring in their own teddy bears, and we provide them with medical equipment to treat their teddies and work through some medical scenarios to see that healthcare settings aren't so scary!

We are a volunteer-based society, and all the money we raise goes back into the society and to our elected charity - the Children's Cancer Unit. We would love to get as many students involved in this brilliant initiative, so membership is FREE!
