Hello everyone, I am presenting to be this year’s student rep to represent us, as students, in the Master of Science in Children’s rights. Having been student rep for two years during my undergrad at Swansea, I understand the commitment Student reps have to be the voices for others on their courses. It is important to have clear and direct communication between student and faculty staff. The abilities to pass-through concerns or complaints are crucial to allow all students to enjoy their time and enable for learning to be something we see as positive as opposed to daunting. As student rep I would vouch to ensure that any messages regarding the course or any other aspect of the university will be heard in a timely manner. I will attend meetings and provide clear feedback to the rest of the students about any ongoing changes or other matters surrounding our course, school or the university as a whole.
I will also vouch to keep any message anonymous and confidential (unless asked otherwise) when speaking on behalf of our group. I have also been welfare officer for the Athletics and cross country club and believe that whether on a running track or in a classroom, everyone should feel included and heard.
