I intend to bring a radical, intersectional approach to Disability Activism, allowing me to effectively represent and amplify Disabled voices at QUB. My priorities include ensuring the provision of specialised mental health support to meet individual needs and the inclusion of Disabled people in conversations around decisions that impact them.

About Me
Mischa Gerrard – History and Politics BA
As an activist and campaigner, I feel confident in my ability to represent and amplify the voices of disabled students across QUB. As a neurodivergent student with ASD, I know first-hand what it feels like to self-advocate. I also have experience of the process of obtaining a diagnosis and applying for the DSA, as well as accessing Disability and Wellbeing services at Queen’s. As the leader of the Disabled Students’ Association I intend to bring together a wide range of voices and experiences that will equip me with the knowledge necessary to effectively represent the Disabled community.
