Hi everyone!! My name is Maria and I am running for undergraduate school representative for the school of Pharmacy.
Having done school rep this year and been a course rep in my 1st and 2nd year at Queen's, I love playing a role within the school of pharmacy that allows me to help make a change for students within my year group but also within the whole school. Becoming a school representative is a big role, but seeing the changes that can be made and the positive impact this has on students within the school is great. I want to continue to make a positive impact to all students doing Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology alongside all other students at Queen's.
This year, I have had an amazing group of course reps who have helped me throughout the year organise and gather feedback from each year group. They have supported each of their year groups and supported me throughout the meetings which has been a great help. Also within the school of pharmacy is our BSc student voice team which support pharmaceutical science and pharmaceutical biotechnnology students across all the year groups. Joel and all of the course reps have helped me greatly throughout the year by organising and running the meetings and help make a huge change within the school of pharmacy.
This year I would like to continue to help all students within the school of Pharmacy have their voice heard, and bring any issues and problems that students are facing to lecturers so that a solution can come for all within the school of Pharmacy. Many changes have happened this year for the better and many questions that students have had have been resolved and fed back to students for example, discussion of placement pay for students regarding travel expenses. I would like students to know that lecturers are their to help make positive changes for their courses so that everyone will have a positive university experience.
