Empowering Student Voice for Post Graduates
Hey everyone,
I am Tim Chan, currently studying the MSc Artificial Intelligence course. I was the Undergraduate School Rep of the Year for 2023/2024. During my undergraduate degree I had the amazing opportunity to help make the voices of the students heard by staff in EEECS and EPS. I was tempted to retire and call it there after I graduated but there is still so much more work to be done. I want the postgraduate Student Voice experience to be as good as the Undergrad one. I was also a part of 7 Society Committees last year and I hope to use that experience to improve the Student Voice structure for Post Graduates in EPS.
Bridging the Gap between Students and Staff
With my previous experience as School Rep, I've come to learn that the academic staff at QUB really value our opinions when making decisions. While that is sometimes not shown to students, it is undoubtably true. I want to bridge the gap between students and staff to help make students heard and help students recognise the work that the staff do to improve the academic experience for us.
I honestly only found out about the deadline 30 minutes before it so if you want to see my full manifesto follow my campaign!
