INFORM. INSPIRE. ENROL.
Hi everyone! I’m Veronica and it would be a privilege to represent you on the Belfast Marrow Committee as Donor Recruitment Coordinator.
I am a medical student at Queen’s, and I have been volunteering for Belfast Marrow over the past year. Its capacity to transform lives is truly inspiring and I am eager to play a more active role in the charity!
My training in Dementia Awareness and work as an NHS ward volunteer have nurtured a personal desire to be a voice for the vulnerable, and in my Committee role I would be a firm advocate on campus for those in need of life-saving stem cell transplants.
As Donor Recruitment Coordinator, I would use my strong public speaking skills (yes, I have Grade 8 Drama!) and enthusiasm to convey our positive and powerful message to students and encourage more to join the stem cell register. I am excited about grasping this unique opportunity to raise awareness of the charity across the Queen’s campus!
I have volunteered on behalf of numerous charitable causes over the years, and these experiences have equipped me with key insights into fundraising, recruitment and effective organisation necessary for this position. I have excellent communication and problem-solving skills which I continue to develop through my passion for learning new languages and instruments.
A keen tennis player, I would love to partner with other university societies to create new and exciting recruitment opportunities and to expand our volunteer network.
I am a conscientious and reliable team player, and I am so looking forward to working with you and the other members of the Committee to make this year a success for Belfast Marrow!
Let’s come together to inspire more donors, volunteers and fundraisers so that we can keep up our amazing work SAVING LIVES THROUGH STEM CELLS ♡
