Real Change. Real Impact. Vote for greater representation and employability.

Manifesto Goals

I want to transform how Queen’s Business School supports us. It’s time to move beyond the lecture hall and focus on the skills and connections that actually get us hired. If elected, here is exactly what I will push for:

Better Employability

  • Industry-Ready Workshops: I’ll lobby for sessions on the specific tools employers are looking for to help students stay ahead of the curve. Workshops will focus on emerging software and technology that will help our students differentiate themselves in a competitive job market and even pursue their own entrepreneurial ambitions.

  • Cultivate the Entrepreneurial Hub at QBS: Increased support for the enterprise hub of QBS to offer more students the opportunity and resources to explore different avenues to the traditional placement path, which is failing existing students in the QUB degree program system.

  • Practical Experience: I want to bridge the gap between theory and practice by bringing in more opportunities to engage with the Belfast ecosystem to showcase the scales to employers and entrepreneurial support.

Real-World Networking

  • Alumni Access: I will work to create a direct line between current students and QBS graduates. Think informal "meet the grad" sessions rather than intimidating corporate mixers.

  • Local Business Links: We should be the first choice for Belfast’s business community. I’ll advocate for more site visits and local guest speakers.

Peer Mentoring

  • Structured Peer Support: I want to establish a formal mentoring scheme where final-year students help first and second years navigate module choices, placements, and exam stress.

  • Student-Led Guidance: Sometimes the best advice comes from someone who sat the same exam last year. I’ll make those connections easier to find.
