Dedicated to your student experience. I want to build on the strong foundations we have by listening to your needs and bridging the gap between students and faculty. Whether it is academic support or a better social life, I am here to represent you. Vote Edan for School Rep!
Who am I?
My name is Edan and I am running to be your next School Representative beause I truly value the community that's been built here. Leaders like Lucy & Oliver have shown how much of a difference a dedicated voice can make and I'd love the opportunity to continue that work. I want to be the friendly bridge between you and the school to make sure the student experience is as smooth and supportive as possible.
My Experience:
I've always believed that we're at our best when we help each other out. That's what has driven my involvement in the school so far. In my second year, I was motivated to become a course rep. Where I learned how to raise our concerns effectively and get actual answers fro my cohort. During that same time, I helped run a L2 physics peer study group. It was about creating a space where it was okay to say "I don't get this" and finding the answers together. This year, stepping into the role of Lead Physics Peer Mentor has allowed me to see the big picture of student wellbeing, focusing on ensuring no one feels isolated or overwhelmed by the jump in university workload.
What I Hope to Do for You:
As your School Rep, I would hope to continue the positive momentum built by our current and previous reps. My goal is to strengthen our ties with the Physics and Maths societies and ensure that the dialogue between staff and students is as clear and helpful as possible. Beyond that, I am committed to working with you to find new ways to improve our daily quality of life, whether that is through better academic resources or a more active social community.
I hope you can trust me to represent your interests with the same dedication I’ve shown as a mentor and rep. I’m ready to stand up for what matters most to students like you and I.
