Get Your Swab Out - DKMS will be at Queen’s Students’ Union to raise awareness about blood cancer and encourage students to join the stem cell register. Every 14 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukaemia or lymphoma, and for many patients, a stem cell transplant is their only chance of survival. Yet finding a matching donor can be incredibly difficult, especially for those from diverse ethnic backgrounds and making it vital to grow the register.
Signing up is quick and simple; just 3 swabs could save a life. If you're 16-55 and in general good health, visit the DKMS stall in the Students’ Union foyer anytime between 11am and 2pm on Thursday 23rd April.
