Uni is more than just academics. Let me help you find the right activity for you and be your advocate for more: Funding for Clubs&Socs. Cost of Living Support. Safer Environment. Support, workshops and initiatives you want to engage with. Postgrad inclusion.Reduced frees for Queen’s Athletes & More!

Hello everyone!

About me:

I’m a 23 year old from Donegal who has been studying at Queens for the past 4 years. I’m an International Commercial and Business Law Masters student. My time at Queens wouldn’t have been the same without my involvement with clubs, socs, student council and homework club too.with over 200 different clubs and societies and multiple different organisations I do believe there is a place for everyone within the wider community of Queen’s.

My Priorities:

More support, workshops and incentives to engage students in SU initiatives

Nothing gets people involved like democracy and the chance of winning something or free things. I want to do more for people to get involved with the SU and raise more awareness about our activities so people can properly enjoy them. This year there have been workshops on nutrition and how to run a formal and I want to continue with different workshops but give different days and time so it can suit the majority or have a system to still pass on the info to those who want to go but can’t due to scheduling conflicts. There is so much potential in the SU for what we can do!

Reduced PEC fees for all Queen's athletes

As a cheerleader who competes with Queen’s Knights we either need to pay for a membership or pay £5 for session. I know other sports club are free paid and want a discount for other clubs who may not be on as high a level but still represent their university at competitions. Like Tesco says every little helps.

More funding for clubs, societies and associations

It can be hard for clubs, socs and associations to secure funding so I want to make it easier for them to apply, offer more guidance and try create more opportunities to help them all.

Increased Cost Of Living Support

It is imperative we continue the support with free breakfast, lunches and dinners

Safer environment for all, eliminate violence against women and girls

Postgrad inclusion

Helping people find their place
