Carolina Suárez Campos for Postgraduate Officer

Hello everyone!

My name is Carolina Suárez Campos, and I am a postgraduate student in Financial Analytics at Queen’s University Belfast. I am proud to serve as the Course Representative for my master's program and as an International Student Ambassador at Queen’s.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration from Universidad de las Américas Puebla, Mexico. I graduated in December 2022, in a world still recovering from the effects of COVID-19. Navigating these challenges led me to seek new opportunities, and that’s when I found Queen’s.

When I arrived in Northern Ireland, I had no idea of the adventure that awaited me. Life is full of surprises, constantly evolving and pushing us forward. That’s why I believe in embracing change and making a difference. I invite you to be part of that change—vote for Carolina!

A Voice for All Students

I want to amplify the voices of all students, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. Everyone deserves to be heard, valued, and supported. My goal is to advocate for student well-being and ensure that no one feels overlooked.

My Priorities as Postgraduate Officer

Postgraduate Tuition & Financial Aid

For the 2025-26 academic year, tuition fees for NI/ROI students will be £7,300, while GB students will pay £9,250. Fees rise every year, and although student loan amounts have increased, they are still not enough. I will advocate for greater financial aid and increased scholarship opportunities, especially for international students.

Food Bank Expansion

The QUB Pantry is a valuable resource for students, but there’s always room for improvement. If elected, I will work to:
✔ Expand the variety of available products
✔ Extend pantry opening hours to better accommodate students’ schedules

Mental Health & Resilience Support

Postgraduate studies can be demanding, and I have seen firsthand how students experience different challenges. Resilience—the ability to recover from difficulties—is a skill that can be learned and strengthened. I will advocate for expanded mental health programs to ensure all students have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Student Accommodation

Securing a place at Queen’s does not guarantee access to student accommodation. If elected, I will push for more student housing options near the university to make living arrangements more accessible and affordable.

Let’s create a better future together!

If you believe in a more inclusive, supportive, and accessible Queen’s, vote for Carolina Suárez Campos as your next Postgraduate Officer.
