Experience + Motivation = Awesome Rep! Vote Lucy for EPS Rep!
Hi there!
About me: My name is Lucy and I'm a 3rd year Mathematics student from Belfast, and I am currently the School Rep for the School of Maths and Physics. I would love to bring my experience as a Rep and my dedication to student success to help cultivate a great environment within the faculty to the role of EPS Faculty Rep.
Experience => Success: I have a solid foundation as a Rep, as the current School Rep for Maths and Physics, and as a Level 2 Course Rep before that. Alongside these roles, I've been a Maths Mentor to first year students for the past two years. As School Rep I've organised frequent social and academic events, including karaoke, movie nights, and information sessions about the Integrated Masters to make sure students feel confident in their upcoming years here at Queen's.
In this role, I've realised the importance of improving communications to students in various mediums, along with facilitating new ideas within the department. As EPS Faculty Rep, I would bring this valuable experience to improve the student experience across the faculty.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: I will strive to organise opportunities for students of different disciplines throughout EPS collaborate and foster a stronger sense of community in the faculty. Our faculty will only be made stronger if we can all learn from each other, network outside of our departments, and have some craic with each other.
