Representation, Support, and Pride at Queen’s.

Hello! I’m Eoghan, a 2nd year student in media and broadcast production. I’m one of the current undergraduate student councillors and I'd love to be the LGBT+ Students’ Association Chairperson for next year! I have alot of experience in the organisation of the uni and am a current club and societies committee members too. Outside of university I enjoy long-distance swimming, film, art, video games, and keeping up with both global and local issues. If you need me you can probably find me at the qft.

Why I’m Standing for LGBT+ Students’ Association Chairperson

I want to ensure every student feels included, supported, and part of a vibrant campus community. I believe that by combining creativity with clear communication and transparency, we can make student life at Queen’s even more engaging, inclusive, and sustainable. The world is an uncertain place at the minute and for the foreseeable future we need to stick together. I'm aiming to provide a space and support for LGBT+ students who need any assistance.

My Priorities:

  • Inclusivity: Champion diversity and representation across all societies, events, and student activities.
  • Events: Support and help organize engaging, fun, and creative events that bring students together. Support clubs and  societies to host more inclusive and diverse activities.
  • Support: Provide a place where LGBT+ students can get advice or help in an open space.
  • Sustainability: Advocate for eco-friendly initiatives across campus and student societies.

My Vision:

I aim to contribute positively to student life by promoting opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and friendship. I want to help make Queen’s a place where all students feel heard, included, and empowered to make a difference.

If elected as LGBT+ Students’ Association Chairperson, I’ll bring energy, dedication, and an open ear to represent your voice in shaping a more inclusive, fun, safer, and sustainable student experience.
