Academic Excellence and Inter-Schools’ Collaboration
- Introducing awareness and Q&A sessions for postgraduates in induction week for a better understanding of Canvas, assessment styles, the grading system, and guidelines for submission of assessments and penalties.
- Create a learning community for sharing ideas, research, and technology resources and academic support in collaboration with the Graduate School to promote inter schools’ coordination and knowledge exchange.
- Launch monthly workshops and certifications for upskilling academic skills and making them more accessible to all postgraduates.
- Addressing postgraduates’ concerns regarding academics and connecting them with relevant resources.
Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies
- Organize free certification workshops in AI tools and relevant software for every discipline.
- Partner with tech companies for guest lectures and hands-on training sessions for the job market and in-demand skills.
- Secure funding for software licenses (SPSS, NVivo, Adobe Creative Suite) for student use
- Host monthly "Tech Day" drop-in sessions for troubleshooting and learning new tools.
Sustainability Practices
- Launch a campus-wide program for raising awareness regarding sustainability, green campus initiatives, and reducing carbon footprint
- Install water refill stations in every building of every school to control plastic waste
- Encourage thrift and swap culture to reduce waste and promote sustainable practices.
- Create a better linkage with academic and sustainability representatives at schools’ level to improve sustainable practices
Socialization
- Create and launch a buddy system matching new international students with current students
- Host fortnightly social events (quiz nights, board games, cultural celebrations) especially for postgraduate students
- Design a strong awareness campaign to promote postgraduate activities, events, and spaces
- Organize mental health awareness workshops and peer support groups
